Project Margarita Sold!

Commercial success at Heesen Yachts: Project Margarita sold.
Heesen Yachts is proud to announce that YN 16847, Project Margarita, was sold on May 19, 2014, to a seafaring enthusiast who is looking forward to cruising with his family in great comfort and style.Project Margarita is the first of the newly styled vessels in the award-winning 47m class, a breed of Heesens that are icons of classic contemporary yacht design. Frank Laupman has created the timeless design of YN 16847, a vessel that exudes luxury and elegance in every detail. Contrasting fabrics of silk, wool and linen complement the subtle patterning and rich textures featured in the main saloon, while the walnut floor, oak walls and gloss lacquered ceiling bring an element of gravitas to the interior. In the sky lounge, large windows stretch across the entire length of the saloon creating a light and airy ambience for relaxation, and yet the bar and home cinema system make this area equally suited for cosy evenings as guests move inside from the terrace.Heesen craftsmanship abounds, right down to the walnut flooring where the grain has been cut to radiate outwards echoing the circular theme. The classic yet contemporary master suite is a true masterpiece with its sumptuous en-suite bathroom with central bathtub and a myriad of marble vanity units, oak panelling, an Art Nouveau custom-created mosaic as the centre panel and a pale travertine marble floor. A large private study and walk-in wardrobe complete the owner’s private suite. On the lower deck, Project Margarita has two double and two twin suites decorated with walnut panelling, deep ultra-soft wool carpets and silk textured wallpapers. All en-suite bathrooms have marble walls, limestone floors and contemporary polished steel fittings.
180 square metres of exterior deck space (85 of which is just on the sundeck) offer the 12 guests many options for enjoying life at sea with al fresco dining in four different areas, lounging around the Jacuzzi, and sunbathing on the large sun-pads in front of the bridge in peace and quiet, even when moored stern to.
Zero-speed stabilisers will ensure maximum comfort at anchor and the well-engineered round bilge hull with bulbous bow, powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines, will ensure smooth and safe cruising in all sea conditions and a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
Project Margarita will be delivered to her owners on June 30 2014 after intensive sea trials in the North Sea for summer cruising in the Mediterranean and will be available for inspection at the Monaco Yacht Show next September.
