The Aeolian Islands are a volcanic Sicilian cruising region with Stromboli, Panarea, Lipari, Salina and exceptional island-hopping appeal.

The Aeolian Islands are one of the most distinctive cruising areas in Italy, located north of Sicily and known for volcanic landscapes, clear water, island villages, anchorages and dramatic night-time views of Stromboli’s eruptions.

The island group includes Lipari, Panarea, Stromboli, Vulcano, Salina, Filicudi and Alicudi. Panarea is the most fashionable yacht stop, while Stromboli and Vulcano provide extraordinary geological interest. Salina offers a quieter and greener atmosphere.

For yachts, the Aeolians offer island-hopping, swimming, tender exploration, relaxed dining and volcanic scenery. Berthing is limited and itineraries are often anchorage-led, with careful weather and wind planning important.
