The British Virgin Islands are a classic Caribbean yacht cruising region with short passages, sheltered waters, beaches and relaxed island-hopping.
The British Virgin Islands are one of the Caribbean’s classic yacht cruising grounds, known for short passages, sheltered waters, beaches, island bars, anchorages and relaxed charter itineraries. The islands are especially attractive for guests who want easy island-hopping and a natural, informal Caribbean atmosphere.
Popular cruising areas include Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Jost Van Dyke, Norman Island, Peter Island and Anegada. The Baths on Virgin Gorda, White Bay on Jost Van Dyke and the North Sound area are among the most recognisable stops in the region.
The BVI is particularly strong for charter yachts, sailing yachts, catamarans and family cruising. While it is not as formal as some superyacht hubs, it offers a very strong destination experience with numerous anchorages and resort options.
