Capri is a classic Italian yacht destination with dramatic scenery, luxury hotels, designer shopping and easy access to the Amalfi Coast.

Capri is one of the most glamorous island destinations in the Mediterranean and a classic stop on Italian superyacht itineraries. Located in the Gulf of Naples, close to the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, Capri combines dramatic scenery, luxury hotels, designer shopping, historic villas, beach clubs and highly recognisable cruising landmarks.

For yachts, Capri is often visited as part of a wider Amalfi Coast and Naples itinerary. The island is famous for the Faraglioni rocks, the Blue Grotto, Marina Piccola, Marina Grande, Anacapri and the Piazzetta. Many yacht guests visit by tender from anchorages, combining swimming and coastal cruising with lunch ashore, shopping and evening dining.

Capri’s beauty and popularity also create practical challenges. Berthing is limited, peak-season demand is high and the island can become extremely busy in July and August. Large yachts often anchor off and use tenders, with local planning essential for restaurant reservations, transfers and shore access.

The best months for superyacht cruising are May, June and September, when the weather is warm but the island is less crowded than high summer. Capri remains a benchmark Western Mediterranean destination for scenic luxury, romance and Italian coastal lifestyle.
