Corfu is a key Ionian yacht gateway with historic Corfu Town, green scenery, Gouvia Marina and access to Paxos and the wider Ionian islands.

Corfu is one of the most important Ionian yacht destinations in Greece, offering a blend of Venetian history, green scenery, sheltered cruising and access to nearby Ionian islands. Located off Greece’s northwest coast, it is a natural gateway for itineraries that may include Paxos, Antipaxos, Lefkada, Kefalonia and the wider Ionian Sea.

Unlike the drier Cyclades, Corfu is known for lush landscapes, wooded hills, olive groves, elegant old houses and a historic old town with strong Venetian, French and British influences. The UNESCO-listed old town, Liston, fortresses and waterfront restaurants create a strong cultural stop for yacht guests.

Gouvia Marina, close to Corfu Town, is one of the principal yacht facilities in the Ionian and supports both private cruising and charter operations. Corfu International Airport provides useful seasonal air access for owners and charter guests.

The island works well for relaxed itineraries, family cruising and less exposed routes than parts of the Aegean. The main season runs from May to October, with June and September often preferred for warm weather and fewer crowds.
