Grenada is an important southern Caribbean yacht destination and cruising base, known as the Spice Island. It offers sheltered bays, marina facilities, beaches, rainforest, waterfalls, diving, spice estates and access northwards into the Grenadines.
St George’s and the surrounding marina areas provide yacht infrastructure and a practical base for cruising or seasonal positioning. Grenada is also valued as a hurricane-season refuge by some yachts because of its southerly location, although weather planning is always essential.
