Phuket is one of Southeast Asia’s leading yacht gateways, with marinas, refit services and access to Phang Nga Bay, Phi Phi and the Andaman Sea.
Phuket is one of Southeast Asia’s most established yacht destinations and a key gateway to Thailand’s Andaman Sea cruising. It combines tropical islands, limestone scenery, beaches, resorts, marina facilities, refit support and access to some of the region’s most beautiful cruising grounds.
Popular yacht areas include Phang Nga Bay, the Phi Phi Islands, Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Krabi and nearby anchorages. Phuket’s marina network and marine services make it a practical base for private yachts, charter yachts and seasonal cruising.
The destination is especially attractive for warm-weather cruising, diving, beach visits, resort stays and island-hopping. It is less formal than the Mediterranean, but offers exceptional natural scenery and a relaxed tropical atmosphere.
The best season is usually November to April, when the northeast monsoon brings more settled conditions on the Andaman side. The southwest monsoon season can still be used but requires more flexible planning.
