Sri Lanka is a culturally rich Indian Ocean yacht destination with Galle, beaches, wildlife, tea country and route value.
Sri Lanka is an increasingly interesting Indian Ocean yacht destination, combining beaches, historic ports, wildlife, temples, tea country, surfing, diving and a strategic position near major east-west sea routes.
For yachts, Sri Lanka is best approached as a mixed cultural and cruising destination rather than a mature superyacht hub. Galle, Colombo and selected coastal areas can support itineraries with the right local planning.
Guest experiences can include Galle Fort, south-coast beaches, whale watching, national parks, tea plantations, temples and inland luxury lodges. Port formalities and seasonal monsoons should be carefully managed.
