St Barths is one of the Caribbean’s premier superyacht destinations, centred on Gustavia, beaches, luxury villas and winter-season yachting.
St Barths, officially Saint Barthélemy, is one of the Caribbean’s premier superyacht destinations. Known for luxury villas, boutique hotels, beach clubs, designer shopping and a highly international winter season, it is a favourite stop for owners and charter guests cruising the Leeward Islands.
Gustavia Harbour is the centre of the island’s yachting identity. The harbour is compact and highly desirable, so many larger yachts anchor outside and use tenders. The island’s appeal is based on a combination of French-Caribbean lifestyle, beaches, restaurants, New Year gatherings and a strong social calendar.
Popular areas include Gustavia, St Jean, Colombier, Shell Beach, Gouverneur and Saline. St Barths is especially prominent from December to March, with peak activity around Christmas, New Year and the St Barths Bucket Regatta.
