HALCYON

HALCYON is a 47.1-metre Feadship motor yacht delivered in 2001 and originally launched as Northern Light. The yacht has emerged from a major Feadship refit and transformation programme at Kaag. Feadship describes the work as a substantial refit that grew into a wider structural, technical, mechanical and cosmetic transformation, including a redesigned stern arrangement, a new exterior finish for hull and superstructure, mast adaptations and a series of exterior and technical updates. Built by Feadship, with naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, exterior design by Studio De Voogt and interior design by John Munford Design, HALCYON is a full-displacement motor yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Feadship’s official fleet information lists HALCYON at 47.10 metres in length, with an 8.80 metre beam and 2.80 metre draught. Public yacht-directory data supports a gross tonnage of around 498 to 499 GT, accommodation for approximately 10 to 12 guests in five cabins and crew accommodation for around 10 to 11 crew. This Superyacht Guide Fleet record treats Northern Light as the launch and former name. Other third-party name lists are not used here because the current correction is based primarily on Feadship’s own information and the recent refit announcement.
