Superyacht Guide Awards are editorial ratings based on available information and review criteria.
Nord is a 141.6-metre custom motor yacht built by Lürssen and delivered in 2021. Developed under the project name Opus, she is one of the largest yachts delivered by Lürssen in the early 2020s and is recognised for her bold design, dramatic exterior styling and high-volume guest arrangement.
The yacht was designed inside and out by Nuvolari Lenard, giving her a powerful and distinctive profile. Nord has a strong bow, high superstructure, long decks and dramatic exterior lines. Her styling is more assertive than many traditional giga yachts, with a purposeful, almost expedition-like character.
Nord is built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and has a gross tonnage of approximately 10,154 GT. Her beam of around 19.5 metres and multi-deck arrangement provide extensive guest, owner and operational spaces.
Public specifications describe accommodation for up to 36 guests in 21 staterooms, supported by around 42 crew. Reported features include two helipads, a large swimming pool, spa and wellness facilities, cinema, gym, tender garage, beach club and extensive exterior guest areas.
The yacht is powered by four MTU engines and is reported to reach a top speed of around 20 knots, with a cruising speed of approximately 15 knots. Her scale, guest capacity and facilities place her firmly within the modern giga yacht category.
Nord is also widely discussed because of sanctions-related public reporting connecting the yacht with Russian businessman Alexei Mordashov. Ownership and legal status should therefore be described cautiously and only as publicly reported association rather than definitive beneficial ownership.
