Montserrat's Tourism Authority states that yachtsmen and other mariners can anchor off Port Little Bay. Visitors disembark at the Little Bay wharf for Customs, with advance clearance available through the regional SailClear system.
Antigua is the main nearby international gateway and is a logical operational partner for a Montserrat itinerary. John A. Osborne Airport also supports regional air connections for smaller guest movements.
Montserrat offers a markedly different shore experience from the busier Caribbean yacht centres. Its volcanic history, mountainous landscape and lower visitor density make it suited to exploratory itineraries rather than marina-based resort cruising.
Little Bay provides the practical landing point and access to the island's road network. The stop can be combined with Antigua without requiring the yacht to treat Montserrat as a technical or provisioning base.
Because visiting yachts anchor off the port rather than entering a major superyacht marina, current weather, swell and Port Authority instructions are important. Captains should contact the relevant authority and complete required pre-arrival procedures before the visit.
Montserrat does not meet the threshold for a Superyacht Business Hub. Major provisioning, engineering and specialist yacht services are better arranged through Antigua or another established Caribbean service centre.
