Raiatea is one of French Polynesia’s most important yachting islands, valued for its sailing culture, lagoon shared with Taha’a, marina access, sacred sites and central position in the Society Islands.
For yachts, Raiatea is more practical and culturally significant than some of the more resort-led islands. It can serve as a base for cruising Taha’a, Bora Bora, Huahine and the wider Leeward Islands.
