Aston Martin Opens a 587m² Q London Bespoke Studio in Berkeley Square

Aston Martin has opened a two-floor Mayfair flagship designed more like a private members’ club than a conventional dealership, with Q bespoke commissioning at its centre.

Aston Martin has officially opened Q London at 14 Berkeley Square in Mayfair, creating a new UK flagship for bespoke specification, private consultations and brand events. The 587-square-metre space spans two floors and combines vehicle displays with a material library, private meeting areas and a large digital visualisation suite.

Berkeley Square puts bespoke motoring beside other luxury houses

The new showroom places Aston Martin on one of Mayfair’s best-known addresses, surrounded by luxury retail, galleries and private clubs. That context matters because Q London is intended as a destination for commissioning rather than simply a place to browse stock.

Clients already spending time in Mayfair can now fold a vehicle specification appointment into a broader day of tailoring, jewellery, art or dining. The location makes the brand part of an existing luxury circuit instead of asking customers to travel to a suburban dealership.

Five hundred physical samples keep commissioning tactile

The specification lounge contains more than 500 physical samples covering body colours, trim materials, leather and stitch choices. Aston Martin pairs these tangible references with digital visualisation so clients can move between material reality and a near-finished view of the car.

This is particularly important in bespoke work because screens alone cannot communicate grain, softness, reflectivity or how two materials feel together. Yacht owners will recognise the process from interior design meetings where physical samples remain essential even when rendering technology is highly advanced.

An eight-metre screen brings the configuration close to full scale

The digital configurator uses a screen approximately eight metres wide and three metres high, drawing data directly from Aston Martin’s design studio. Customers can create real-time imagery of colour and specification combinations at a scale much closer to the finished vehicle.

Large visualisation reduces the gap between imagination and commitment. A colour that looks convincing on a laptop can behave very differently across a full body surface, so near-life-size rendering helps clients judge proportion and contrast before finalising expensive bespoke decisions.

The showroom borrows more from hospitality than retail

Bronze-clad arches, timber panelling, a coffee bar, informal seating and private consultation rooms are intended to make Q London feel closer to a members’ club. The lower floor can also host events and one-to-one appointments away from the public frontage.

That approach reflects how ultra-luxury retail is changing. When clients can purchase almost anything remotely, the physical space has to justify the visit through privacy, service, expertise and an atmosphere that makes the commissioning process enjoyable in its own right.
