Bentley has introduced Continental GT S and GTC S models with 680 PS hybrid power and a more driver-focused chassis.
The S badge moves closer to Supersports
Bentley has introduced new Continental GT S and GTC S models with a 680 PS High Performance Hybrid powertrain. The cars borrow chassis technology and a more assertive attitude from the limited Supersports while remaining practical grand tourers.
Power rises substantially over the previous S generation, with 930 Nm of torque and a 0-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. A sports exhaust adds more V8 character when the electric side of the hybrid system is not carrying the car quietly.
Chassis hardware broadens the driving modes
Active all-wheel drive, torque vectoring, four-wheel steering, electronic limited-slip differential and Bentley Dynamic Ride are brought together in the S specification. The system allows a more rear-biased feel while retaining the stability expected from a long-distance GT.
Inside, unique colour splits and Dinamica surfaces create a more technical cabin. Owners can still choose full leather and alternative veneers if they want a less overtly sporting atmosphere.
Grand touring now covers a wider spectrum
Bentley’s Continental family now runs from wellness-focused Azure models to Speed, Mulliner and the more focused S derivatives. That breadth lets clients choose between comfort, craftsmanship and driver involvement without leaving the same basic grand-touring format.
For owners who use cars between marinas, city homes and mountain destinations, the S offers an interesting compromise. It remains refined enough for long journeys but provides a more active character when roads become the reason for travelling.
