Conrad Corfu is set to open in 2027 with 136 rooms, suites and villas, a 200-metre beach, lagoon-style pool, spa and open-air cinema.
Conrad Hotels & Resorts is preparing a new seafront property in Corfu for 2027, combining 136 rooms, suites and villas with a 200-metre beachfront and a large lagoon-style water feature. The project adds another luxury resort to Greece while giving Conrad a distinctly Ionian destination within its European portfolio.
A secluded seafront setting leads the proposition
The resort is planned around a 200-metre stretch of beachfront, landscaped gardens and direct access to the water. That gives the property a strong natural framework and reduces the need for artificial spectacle, allowing sea, vegetation and outdoor living to carry much of the atmosphere.
Corfu already has a long history of villa and resort travel, so the challenge is not introducing luxury to the island but differentiating the experience. Conrad’s design and service approach will need to work with the Ionian setting rather than overwhelming it.
Rooms, suites and villas create different levels of privacy
The 136-key inventory will include standard rooms, suites and villas, giving guests options ranging from a conventional resort stay to more secluded accommodation. Villas are especially important in Mediterranean luxury because they allow families and groups to remain connected while maintaining private outdoor space.
That flexibility can broaden the resort’s appeal across couples, multigenerational travellers and longer-stay guests. It also helps the property compete with independent villa rentals while offering the service consistency and shared amenities of a branded resort.
A lagoon and wellness programme shape the leisure offer
Plans include indoor and outdoor heated pools, an Aqua Piazza lagoon, an extensive wellness centre and open-air cinema. Three restaurants and two bars add multiple dining formats, while the resort will also include landscaped gardens and dedicated family facilities.
The combination suggests a property designed for guests who may spend much of the day on site without feeling confined. Wellness, swimming, dining and entertainment are distributed across different settings, giving the resort more rhythm than a simple beach-and-pool layout.
Family travel is being treated more carefully
A children’s club created with Worldwide Kids will use a treehouse-like village among olive trees and eucalyptus. That approach reflects a broader move in luxury resorts toward family spaces that feel designed rather than simply functional.
Conrad Corfu therefore aims to balance adult-focused relaxation with serious family infrastructure. If the design remains sensitive to the landscape, the resort could offer a strong combination of privacy, Mediterranean scenery and full-service hospitality when it opens in 2027.
