The Pearl gives Conrad Koh Samui a new top-tier residence built around privacy, private wellness, outdoor living and personalised dining above the Gulf of Thailand.
Conrad Koh Samui has unveiled The Pearl, a 766-square-metre two-level Presidential Villa positioned at the highest point of the resort. The new residence combines panoramic Gulf of Thailand views with a private wellness enclave, a 20-metre infinity pool, outdoor cinema, dedicated entertaining spaces and chef-led dining designed for guests who want to control their own pace.
Two levels separate entertaining from retreat
The upper level is designed around hosting, with an open-plan living room, private bar, catering kitchen and a large terrace facing the Five Islands. It gives dinners and sunset drinks their own setting without intruding on the quieter spaces below.
That separation is useful for families and owners accustomed to entertaining aboard large yachts. Guests can gather for dinner or drinks while the principal suite and wellness areas remain protected from the movement and noise of a social evening.
Wellness stays entirely inside the residence
The lower level contains a couple’s treatment suite, sauna, steam room, hot and cold hydrotherapy plunge pools and a dedicated fitness area. Guests can move between recovery, exercise and treatment without leaving the privacy of the villa.
For the superyacht audience, that level of self-contained privacy is particularly relevant. It mirrors the appeal of an owner’s deck or private spa at sea, allowing the daily routine to remain personal rather than organised around shared resort facilities.
Thai craft gives the scale a stronger sense of place
Warm woods, natural stone and layered textures are combined with a sculptural feature wall inspired by traditional Thai timber construction. The intention is to keep the villa connected with Koh Samui rather than allowing its scale to become anonymous international luxury.
Large private residences can easily lose their destination when every material feels globally interchangeable. The Pearl is more convincing when the interior uses local references quietly, allowing architecture and craft to support the view rather than competing with it.
The villa works naturally with a yacht itinerary
Koh Samui is already familiar to private travellers exploring the Gulf of Thailand, and The Pearl adds an unusually private shore base for several nights. A yacht can remain the centre of the voyage while the villa provides space for extended family, wellness and larger dinners.
The combination is strongest when the hotel complements rather than replaces life aboard. Guests can use the residence for recovery, entertaining or a short change of environment before returning to the privacy and mobility of the yacht.
