ENTOURAGE Was Designed to Change Character When the Sun Goes Down

The 60-metre ENTOURAGE uses a Burdifilek interior designed around entertaining, calm daily living and a distinct shift in atmosphere after sunset.

ENTOURAGE shows how a superyacht interior can be designed around the rhythm of a day rather than a static decorative scheme. The 60-metre Amels was given a bespoke interior by Canadian studio Burdifilek, whose brief centred on how the owner wanted to entertain and how spaces should feel from morning through late evening.

The brief began with the way the owner entertains

Damen Yachting says the owner had a clear idea of how guests should move through the yacht and how entertaining should work onboard. That starting point gave Burdifilek a practical framework: circulation, gathering spaces and mood had to support real social habits rather than simply look impressive in photographs.

Designing from behaviour first can make a yacht feel more natural during repeated use. Guests know where conversation tends to gather, where dinner should flow next and which spaces work for smaller groups, while crew can support those transitions without constantly rearranging the environment.

Daylight and evening were treated as different experiences

Burdifilek co-founder Diego Burdi described the yacht as transforming when the sun sets, shifting from day to night with a different feeling. That idea suggests lighting, materials and spatial emphasis were considered as part of a changing daily sequence rather than one permanent visual mood.

During the day, large windows and exterior connections can make the yacht feel open and relaxed. At night, more focused lighting and controlled views can create intimacy, allowing the same rooms to support cocktails, dinner and quieter late-evening conversation without feeling like the daytime setting simply became darker.

Serenity became the organising idea

The studio developed the interior around a calm, elegant atmosphere, using the owner's global vision as the basis for a home at sea. Serenity in this context is not just a colour palette; it depends on proportion, circulation, furniture placement and the absence of visual clutter in heavily used spaces.

That restraint matters on a 60-metre yacht where guests may spend weeks aboard. Highly theatrical rooms can make a strong first impression, but spaces intended for daily living also need to remain comfortable after the novelty has disappeared and the yacht has become home for the season.

Custom interiors distinguish yachts within a series

ENTOURAGE is part of the Amels 60 Limited Editions platform, yet each yacht can carry a very different interior identity. The shared technical foundation allows the owner and designer to concentrate on personal atmosphere and lifestyle without beginning every engineering decision from zero.

For owners, this is a useful form of customisation because it directs creative effort toward the spaces they experience every day. ENTOURAGE demonstrates that a series-built platform can still produce a highly individual private world when the interior is shaped around specific habits, entertaining style and emotional tone.
