The sixteenth Koh Samui Cancer Care Charity Fun Run will support the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer through three community race distances.
Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui is bringing its Cancer Care Charity Fun Run back to Nathon Pier on September 26, 2026. The sixteenth edition offers 2-kilometre, 5-kilometre and 10-kilometre routes while raising funds for the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer in Bangkok.
Sixteen years of community participation
The event has grown into a recurring island gathering rather than a one-off hotel fundraiser. In 2025, 1,158 people took part and more than THB 700,000 was raised, showing the scale the programme has reached within the local community.
Four Seasons says its Thailand charity events have now raised more than THB 41.7 million over 22 years. The Koh Samui run is one visible part of that longer relationship between the company, residents and cancer-care organisations.
Funds directed toward patient care
Proceeds will support the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer, with funding intended for facilities and medical equipment that contribute directly to patient treatment. That defined beneficiary gives runners a concrete reason for taking part beyond the social side of the morning.
Breast-cancer fundraising is also especially suited to a community run because participation can span families, hotel staff, local businesses and serious athletes. The event creates a shared activity around an issue that affects many different parts of society.
Three distances and an early start
Participants can choose between 2-kilometre, 5-kilometre and 10-kilometre routes, allowing beginners and families to join alongside more competitive runners. The 10-kilometre winner will receive the Queen Suthida Cup, adding a formal sporting element to the longest distance.
The THB 500 registration fee includes an event shirt and breakfast. That simple package keeps the focus on participation and fundraising while giving the morning enough structure to feel like a proper community race.
Hospitality stepping into the community
The event begins at Nathon Pier rather than inside the resort, which is important to its character. It places the hotel team alongside residents in a shared public setting and makes the fundraiser accessible to people who may never otherwise visit the property.
For a luxury hospitality brand, that outward-looking role is valuable. The strongest community programmes are those that use the organisation’s reach and resources without making the brand itself the main attraction.
