The Kuala Lumpur hotel’s October afternoon tea uses a pink-themed menu to support the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia through a portion of proceeds.
Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur is marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a Pink October Afternoon Tea at The Lounge at Four Seasons. Served throughout October, the menu pairs seasonal pastry and savoury bites with fundraising support for the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia.
Pink as more than decoration
Executive Pastry Chef Partha Bose has built the menu around rose, berries and other pink-toned ingredients, but the theme is tied directly to the hotel’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign. A portion of the proceeds from each tea is being directed to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia.
That connection gives the familiar luxury-hotel ritual a more purposeful role. Guests still receive the polished service and visual presentation expected from afternoon tea, while the month-long programme also helps fund support for people affected by breast cancer.
Pastry with floral and fruit notes
Sweet highlights include Rose Élan, a raspberry tart, pavlova and strawberry gazpacho, giving the pastry selection a mix of floral, tart and fresh-fruit flavours. The colour palette remains recognisably pink without making every item taste alike.
The menu is designed for sharing between two guests, keeping the social character of afternoon tea intact. For visitors looking for a lighter celebration or an October city experience, the format offers a clear seasonal identity without requiring a full tasting-menu commitment.
Savouries keep the menu balanced
The savoury side includes tuna tartare choux, lobster po’ boy and beef rendang croquette, bringing seafood, spice and richer flavours into the progression. Those dishes prevent the pink theme from becoming overly sweet and give the experience more substance.
The mix also reflects Kuala Lumpur’s international dining culture, where European hotel traditions sit comfortably beside Malaysian flavours. Beef rendang in particular gives the tea a local point of reference rather than leaving the menu entirely within a European pastry framework.
A month-long city experience
Pink October Afternoon Tea is available from October 1 to 31, 2026, with takeaway pastries extending the campaign beyond the lounge itself. That longer window allows residents as well as hotel guests to take part without concentrating the fundraiser into a single event.
For luxury hospitality, the strongest element is the alignment between occasion and cause. The hotel is using an established social ritual to create awareness and fundraising while keeping the guest experience coherent with the setting.
