Four Seasons Philadelphia Opens Its Sky-High Pool for a CHOP Fundraiser

Pool with a Purpose gives two guests up to four hours of access to the hotel’s infinity pool and spa amenities, with 100 percent of proceeds donated to CHOP.

Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center is temporarily opening its 57th-floor infinity pool to visitors through a limited weekday experience. The programme turns private spa access into a fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

A normally private space opens up

The indoor infinity-edge pool is usually reserved for registered hotel guests. Under Pool with a Purpose, two people can spend up to four hours using the pool, locker rooms, sauna and steam room, turning one of the hotel’s most private amenities into a limited public experience.

The setting is part of the appeal. Located on the 57th floor, the pool looks across Philadelphia from high inside the Comcast Center, giving the experience the atmosphere of a private urban retreat rather than a conventional day-spa visit.

The fee becomes a donation

The experience is priced at USD 300 for two guests and is available Monday through Thursday for a limited period. Four Seasons says 100 percent of the proceeds are donated to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, linking each booking directly to the hospital rather than allocating only a portion of revenue.

The package also includes two glasses of Prosecco or non-alcoholic sparkling wine. The stronger idea, however, is not the amenity list but the way a luxury facility can be temporarily repurposed to support an institution serving children and families in the same city.

Part of a longer relationship

Four Seasons describes Pool with a Purpose as one element of year-round fundraising and community engagement with CHOP. The programme coincides with Childhood Cancer Awareness Month but is framed as part of an ongoing relationship rather than a single seasonal campaign.

That continuity matters because cause-led luxury promotions can feel superficial when the charitable component is secondary to the marketing. Here, the hotel is using access to a genuinely scarce space as the fundraising mechanism and directing the full purchase price to the beneficiary.

Wellness with a civic dimension

For guests, the experience still functions as a high-end wellness break: a quiet pool, skyline views, steam, sauna and several hours away from the city below. The difference is that personal relaxation is paired with a visible local purpose.

It is a model other luxury hotels can adapt without changing their core product. Exclusive spaces have value precisely because access is limited; opening them selectively for a charitable programme can turn that exclusivity into something useful beyond the guest experience.
