The 70-metre Heesen GALACTICA SUPER NOVA is famous for a top speed of 30 knots, yet her lifestyle story is more interesting than the performance figure alone. Sinot Yacht Design worked closely with the owners on a classic-contemporary interior intended to feel elegant and comfortable rather than aggressively sporting.
Speed changes how an itinerary feels
A yacht capable of 30 knots can cover coastal distances much faster than a conventional displacement superyacht. This gives owners more flexibility to change plans, reach a different anchorage before dinner or compress a passage that might otherwise consume much of the day.
The attraction is not simply arriving first. Faster repositioning can preserve more time for the activities that matter once the yacht arrives, allowing the vessel to behave less like a slow-moving hotel and more like a genuinely responsive private means of travel.
The interior does not imitate the machinery
Sinot Yacht Design created a classic-contemporary interior in close collaboration with the owners. Heesen describes the spaces as a balance of elegance and comfort, avoiding the temptation to make every room visually express the yacht's performance credentials.

Espen Oeino developed the exterior around Heesen's Fast Displacement Hull Form, giving GALACTICA SUPER NOVA a long, low profile despite her 70-metre length. The architecture supports large outdoor areas without making the yacht appear top-heavy or visually complicated.
For guests, those exterior spaces create several ways to use the yacht throughout the day. The experience can shift from fast passage to quiet anchorage without requiring a change of setting, because open decks remain central to the overall design.
