The award concerns the overall quality of a hotel stay and is not a new Michelin star for a restaurant. It also does not announce an additional building or a new opening, making the architectural setting central to the story.
An address shaped by Budapest
The Gresham Palace occupies a recognised landmark at the Pest end of the Chain Bridge, with a relationship to the river that is visible from many of its public spaces. For guests planning a European city stop, the hotel can serve as a base for exploring architecture and Hungarian cultural heritage.
Budapest's riverfront setting is part of the experience, but the city is inland and should not be described as a coastal superyacht hub. Any cruise on the Danube is a separate activity from a hotel reservation.
