A movie without a beach full of speakers
Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay has launched Jimbaran Cinema at its Coconut Grove, bringing a film screen, sunset drinks and casual dining onto the sand. The programme began on 13 September 2026 and is scheduled for Sunday and Monday evenings until 9 November.
Its distinguishing feature is that the soundtrack is delivered through CineWav to guests' mobile phones and their own earphones. That avoids broadcasting film sound across the beach, though guests need a suitable device and should confirm connection requirements before arrival.
Two different evenings each week
Sunday's film selection is aimed at families and groups of friends, while Monday is planned around more romantic titles. Guests choose between beanbags, sunbeds and armchair sofas, with a sunset welcome beginning at 6pm and the film starting at 7pm.
The dates, screening titles and seating availability are set by the resort, not guaranteed by the description of the programme. Outside visitors as well as resident guests can attend, with the hotel specifying a minimum age of over five.
A picnic menu beside the water
The ticket includes a welcome drink, soft drinks, juice and popcorn top-ups, while extra food can be ordered to the seat. The menu includes lobster rolls, coconut crab nachos, chicken and truffle fries, with a separate picnic package offering caviar and optional Champagne.
The combination turns a conventional movie night into a food-and-shoreline experience. Individual beverages, optional packages and current pricing should be confirmed when booking rather than assumed to form part of a standard ticket.
A different sort of Bali evening
For travellers spending time in Bali before or after a yacht itinerary, the cinema is a short, scheduled experience rather than an all-day excursion. The location is an established beachfront resort, so marine transfers or cruising plans still need to be organised independently.
