NETTO II demonstrates how the Amels 80 platform can be personalised around active Mediterranean use while retaining the proven engineering of a Limited Editions yacht.
NETTO II, formerly Amels 8002, left Vlissingen in June 2026 for her maiden Mediterranean voyage. The 80-metre yacht combines Espen Øino's exterior architecture and Sinot interiors with an owner brief centred on active use at sea, all within the proven technical structure of the Amels Limited Editions programme.
The owner's identity starts on the outside
NETTO II uses a metallic dolphin-blue hull, platinum bootstripe and white superstructure to give the Amels 80 a distinct visual identity. The colour scheme immediately separates her from a standard yard presentation while preserving the underlying Espen Øino architecture.
That is one of the advantages of a proven platform: the owner can focus creative energy on character, interior and use rather than spending years resolving every technical element from a blank sheet of paper. It keeps the ownership brief personal without forcing the project to re-engineer every hidden system.
A 200m² sun deck becomes a daily living floor
The Amels 80 concept provides approximately 200 square metres on the sun deck, enough space for several activities rather than one large lounge arrangement. Owners can separate dining, sunbathing, exercise and evening entertaining without moving furniture throughout the day.
On a Mediterranean itinerary, this effectively creates another open-air level of the home. The deck can change mood from quiet morning coffee to lunch, swimming support and late-night conversation while the yacht remains at the same anchorage.
The beach club strengthens the connection to the sea
The Amels 80 design gives significant attention to the stern and water-level experience, allowing guests to move between interior comfort and swimming more naturally. For an active owner, that relationship can be more important than formal reception rooms.
Days aboard become organised around the water itself: tenders leave, guests swim, equipment appears and disappears, and the yacht becomes a base for movement rather than simply a floating viewpoint. The practical machinery remains in the background while the guest experience stays close to the sea.
Limited Editions can still feel personal
NETTO II demonstrates the central Amels proposition that proven engineering does not require generic ownership. Exterior colour, interior design and operational priorities can all be shaped around the owner's preferences while the technical platform remains established.
The lifestyle advantage is time. Owners gain a highly individual yacht without accepting every delay and uncertainty associated with starting a full-custom technical platform from zero.
