Porsche and TECHO Complete Their 911th Home in Latin America

Porsche and housing organisation TECHO have completed home number 911 in Mexico, marking fifteen years of community projects across Latin America.

A number with a different meaning

Porsche Latin America and housing organisation TECHO have marked fifteen years of cooperation by completing their 911th emergency home. The milestone house was built in La Quebradora, south of Mexico City, for Catalina Carrera and her family, giving the familiar sports-car number a very different context.

The original announcement was published on 5 August 2026. It concerns an established charitable programme and the completion of a real home, not a new Porsche model or a promotional residence for sale.

A regional programme since 2011

The partnership began in 2011, with the first home built in 2012, and has worked across eighteen countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Porsche reports cumulative support exceeding US$3 million and a volunteer network that has helped families gain secure shelter.

More than twenty Porsche volunteers joined TECHO workers to build four homes at the latest Mexico City event. The individual family's experience is the meaningful outcome, while the programme's total figures remain those reported by its partners.

Education and emergency support

The cooperation has extended beyond house construction to ten automotive workshops serving young students, as well as assistance after disasters in countries including Chile, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Guatemala. The companies say their work supplied thousands of households with emergency kits during the pandemic.

For 2026 they plan another fifty homes, taking the supported family count to a proposed 918. That is a programme target rather than a completed total as of the August announcement.

A different part of a brand's story

A sports-car manufacturer is often represented by performance and collecting, yet long-term partnerships also form part of its community activities. The 911th-home milestone can be documented without treating a family's needs as a backdrop for a product advertisement.
