Royal Huisman’s 85m Project 410 pairs the world’s largest planned sloop rig with a hybrid electrical system and an owner-focused interior.

Sailing should be easy to begin
Royal Huisman’s 2026 Monaco presentation described an ambition for a vessel that could be made ready to sail in minutes and still reward her guests in lighter breezes. Rondal is responsible for the substantial carbon mast and integrated sailing system.
The brief places an emphasis on enjoying the sailing process, not merely reaching the next destination. Project 410 was approaching the end of its completion programme at the September presentation and should not be described as already delivered.
The electrical side of comfort
The yard says the planned system can regenerate energy while sailing and is designed for Lloyd’s Hybrid Power certification. A two-megawatt battery bank supports periods of silent operation, in combination with the yacht’s other electrical components.
That figure describes battery-system power in the builder’s account, not a guarantee of how long every onboard load can operate without a generator. Actual endurance depends on power demand, battery condition and operational mode.
Interiors with a separate designer
Wetzels Brown is responsible for the interior, while Frers developed the concept, exterior and naval architecture. The division gives the project a sailing-focused exterior and a personally commissioned guest environment within the same aluminium hull.
The official announcements do not disclose every private room or the owner’s itinerary, so this design feature concentrates on the documented arrangement. It is different from a builder-news report about the sloop’s unveiling or progress in the construction hall.
Keeping the project stage clear
At 85 metres Project 410 is intended to be the world’s largest sloop after completion, but that intended distinction is not confirmation of delivery. The builder’s September release is a snapshot of the finishing stage at Vollenhove.
