The 29.2m Ferretti 960 KATARIINA XO has sold in a transaction with IYC representing the seller, following a €5.49m asking price and 2022–23 refits.

International Yacht Company (IYC) has announced the sale of the 29.2-metre Ferretti 960 motor yacht KATARIINA XO, with global managing partner Filip Jerolimov representing the seller. The transaction was reported in the industry on 12–13 October 2026 and concerns a yacht delivered in 2017 that subsequently underwent refit work in 2022 and 2023.

The broker's previously advertised asking price was €5.49 million, but the amount paid in the completed transaction has not been disclosed. That distinction matters: the sale can be reported as confirmed, while the last known listing figure cannot responsibly be presented as the realised price.

A 29-metre member of the Ferretti 960 family

KATARIINA XO belongs to Ferretti's 960 motor-yacht series and was completed in 2017. The builder is credited with the yacht's naval architecture, while Zuccon International Project provided exterior and interior design that balances substantial glazing with the proportions of an Italian flybridge yacht.

The boat measures approximately 29.2 metres overall and is rated at 170GT according to the broker's published specification. Gross tonnage is a measure related to enclosed volume, not the yacht's displacement; buyers comparing models should review how that volume is distributed across guest, crew and engineering spaces.

Five guest cabins and an owner's suite

The yacht is designed to accommodate up to ten guests in five staterooms, according to IYC's sales particulars. The full-beam principal suite is located on the main deck, with four further guest cabins below, creating a relatively private layout for family voyages or gatherings of friends.

Layout flexibility is useful when an owner hosts different combinations of guests, but the actual availability of convertible berths and storage needs confirmation against the vessel's latest general-arrangement plan. Cabin numbers are only part of the living experience: circulation, natural light, noise levels and crew access also shape comfort.

The 2022 and 2023 refits

The yacht underwent refit work in 2022 and 2023, programmes that IYC says refreshed her equipment and interior presentation. Contemporary materials, a neutral palette and generous windows form part of the aesthetic, while the seller advertised the vessel as well maintained when she was offered for purchase.

The existence of recent refits does not tell a subsequent owner everything about technical condition. A buyer would still review service logs, machinery hours, work orders, survey records and the installed inventory to establish precisely which components were upgraded and which remain in their original configuration.

Cruising performance and propulsion

The published brokerage specification cites twin MTU engines and a maximum speed of approximately 29 knots, with a cruising speed of about 22 knots. Those are broker-supplied performance figures rather than measurements taken independently for this article, and they can vary with load, sea conditions and machinery condition.

For a yacht of this size, relatively high cruising speed can make multi-stop itineraries appealing, but the trade-off includes fuel consumption, maintenance requirements and the weather limitations of open-water passages. Owners will also assess stabilisation, manoeuvring systems and the availability of technical support in the planned cruising region.

A focus on waterside living

The yacht offers large exterior decks, sunbathing areas toward the bow and upper deck, and a beach-club space at the waterline. These features are especially relevant on summer Mediterranean charters, where days may alternate between short cruises, anchoring and visits ashore by tender.

The condition of outdoor fittings deserves the same attention as the interior finish. Sun-exposed upholstery, deck hardware, gangways, swimming platforms and watersports storage can require regular maintenance, while safe access to the water depends on supervision and suitable weather rather than decorative design alone.

Private enjoyment and charter operation

IYC has also promoted KATARIINA XO within its charter programme, with accommodation for ten guests and a professional crew. The yacht's previous presence in both sales and charter listings indicates how one vessel may serve different owner requirements, although the new owner's intended operation has not been confirmed.

Commercial charter activity entails separate regulatory and management considerations. Flag status, insurance, crew qualifications, local charter permissions, availability and turnover costs all determine the feasibility of future bookings; no assumption about continued charter operations or future revenue should be attached to the sale announcement.

IYC's role in the completed transaction

IYC says global managing partner Filip Jerolimov represented the seller in the transaction. The broker's announcement does not identify the purchaser publicly or give a confirmed closing price, so further personal or financial details should not be inferred from the yacht's previous listing.

A broker typically coordinates inspections, negotiation and documentation between a seller and interested purchasers, alongside legal and technical advisers appointed by the parties. The completed transaction is evidence of a sale, but a single yacht changing hands cannot on its own establish a broader trend in market pricing.

Understanding the last public asking price

Before her sale, KATARIINA XO was advertised for €5.49 million. That amount is useful historical context, especially when comparing her with similar Ferretti models, but it remains an asking price; an agreed sale can include separate considerations such as equipment inventories, tax conditions, maintenance provisions and settlement timing.

The verified October development is that this 2017-built 29.2-metre yacht has changed ownership in a transaction represented by IYC on the seller's side. Until the broker discloses additional information, there is no basis to name a purchaser, report a transaction amount or suggest that the vessel's future itinerary is determined.
