IYC is marketing the 38m Breaux Bay Craft BLU, highlighting a four-cabin Art Deco interior, a flexible VIP suite, extensive sundeck areas and a substantial toy inventory.

An American-built yacht with an individual character

IYC has announced the addition of the 38-metre Breaux Bay Craft motor yacht BLU to its international sales fleet. The brokerage announcement, dated 14 October, places particular emphasis on the vessel’s Art Deco interior and on the variety of outdoor spaces arranged for guests.

The listing is being handled by Sales and Charter Consultant Mark Elliott. It presents an existing yacht rather than a project or concept, allowing prospective purchasers to inspect the accommodation, engineering and inventory in their present condition.

The broker also refers to a substantial recent refit, without supplying a fully itemised account of every technical intervention in the public announcement. Buyers should request supporting documentation and avoid assuming that the interior’s updated presentation extends to all mechanical systems.

Art Deco materials and a flexible main-deck cabin

BLU’s principal saloon is described as using cherry panelling, polished nickel fittings and brass detailing. A separate formal dining room and a full-service bar on the main deck create an arrangement suited to entertaining as well as family use.

Accommodation comprises four ensuite staterooms for eight guests, together with separate provision for seven crew. The full-beam owner’s cabin includes a king-size berth, a Jacuzzi bath and a separate shower, reflecting a traditional approach to a generous master suite.

The main-deck VIP cabin can convert into a private study through a retractable queen bed, while a further queen and twin cabin occupy the lower deck. That ability to change the purpose of a room can suit an owner who alternates between entertaining guests and using the yacht as a place to work privately.

Outdoor entertainment from sundeck to swim platform

IYC identifies the large sundeck as the main outdoor leisure area, with a Jacuzzi, bar, barbecue, outdoor cinema and a choice of sunny or shaded seating positions. The aft deck supports dining for eight to ten people, spreading activity across several distinct spaces.

Walkaround decks connect to the bow sunbed, while the aft cockpit and swim platform simplify access to watersports. Practical operation still depends on the condition and safety of deck fittings, railings, communications, access ladders and water-level equipment.

For an owner expecting to cruise with family or guests of different ages, the options for relaxing, watching a film and swimming can be attractive. Deck plans should nevertheless be checked for protected routes used by crew when serving outdoor meals or moving equipment.

A large tender and watersports collection

The broker lists a 37-foot Invincible tender driven by three 350-horsepower Mercury outboard engines, together with an inflatable tender. The inventory also mentions two personal watercraft, two Seabobs, two e-foils and an inflatable slide.

An Aquabana dock with gazebo is also described among the leisure equipment. This can expand the usable area at anchor, but requires appropriate storage, rigging, supervision and conditions to operate safely rather than being treated as a permanent extension to the hull.

Major tenders represent a meaningful part of acquisition and running costs, so buyers should confirm ownership, condition and inclusion in the purchase inventory. The listing offers a distinctive private-yacht arrangement, but the most important purchase decisions still turn on seaworthiness, documentation and a qualified condition survey.
