The 41m Baglietto motor yacht AQUILA joins IYC's sales fleet with a 2022 interior refit, updated generators and air-conditioning systems, and five guest cabins.

A 41-metre Italian yacht returns to the brokerage spotlight

IYC has added the 41-metre Baglietto motor yacht AQUILA to its international sales portfolio, with Monaco managing partner Kevin Bonnie named as the representative. The company describes a yacht combining Italian styling, flexible guest accommodation and a track record in charter operations. No verified public asking price was included in the announcement, although IYC describes the positioning as competitive.

The listing offers an established superyacht rather than a speculative design, allowing prospective buyers to review actual decks, interior condition and operational records. AQUILA's exterior styling is credited to Studio Spadolini, with interiors by Ability Group of Designers. Such distinct design responsibilities help explain how the vessel's original architecture and subsequent refurbishment relate to one another.

A 2022 interior programme updated guest spaces

IYC highlights a full interior refit completed in 2022, giving the guest areas a more contemporary presentation. The principal dining room seats ten, while a prominent wine-cellar wall provides both storage and a visual feature. The upper deck includes a cinema-style skylounge that can support entertainment without taking the main saloon out of everyday use.

The yacht accommodates ten guests in five cabins, with accommodation for nine crew members supporting private or charter operations. That ratio suggests an emphasis on full-service hospitality, but the layout still needs assessing against individual guest requirements. Buyers planning regular charter activity should examine the cabin arrangement, crew circulation and local commercial operating requirements separately from the sales brochure.

Technical upgrades complement the cosmetic work

The broker identifies generator replacements in 2022 and a new air-conditioning plant completed in 2024. These are important interventions on a yacht of this age because hotel systems are among the components most heavily used during extended stays aboard. They may contribute to operating reliability, but a date of replacement alone does not establish equipment hours, warranty coverage or service history.

Zero-speed stabilization is another advertised feature, intended to improve comfort when the vessel is at anchor as well as during movement. On deck, a jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads creates a separate open-air gathering space. Owners should verify how the stabilization and other electrical loads interact with power generation, particularly in warm climates where air-conditioning demand is high.

Buyers should examine refit records, not just photographs

AQUILA's market proposition rests on a combination of exterior pedigree, useful accommodation and several defined upgrades. An independent buyer's review should establish exactly which systems were included in the 2022 and 2024 work, how they were tested and which parts of the vessel remain unchanged. Classification records and any commercial compliance status also require checking against current documents.

IYC's announcement provides the essential relationship and specification facts while leaving price and sale terms to direct enquiry. The new listing does not mean a further refit has just been completed in October; it confirms the yacht's arrival in the brokerage fleet after earlier works. This distinction matters when comparing AQUILA with recently built yachts or other established 40-metre models.
