Burgess has brought the 55m Amels motor yacht LA FAMILIA to market at €32 million, combining Dutch pedigree with long-range cruising capability.
Burgess has listed the 55-metre Amels motor yacht LA FAMILIA for sale at €32 million. Delivered in 2015 and used privately throughout her current ownership, the 671GT yacht combines Tim Heywood exterior styling, a bespoke Lambert & Thurnherr interior, transatlantic range and several custom features including a main-deck sauna and strengthened touch-and-go helipad.
LA FAMILIA was delivered by Amels in 2015 with a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and four-deck layout. Twin 1,400hp MTU diesels provide a cruising speed of 13 knots, a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a published range of about 4,500 nautical miles.
That specification places the yacht firmly in the long-range displacement category rather than the faster semi-displacement market. Burgess also notes that the yacht has been maintained without compromise, an important consideration for buyers evaluating a ten-year-old Northern European build.
Guest accommodation is arranged for 11 people in five cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite on the main deck. The owner’s area includes a private office, lounge space and a fold-out balcony, while the lower deck provides three double cabins and one twin with a Pullman berth.
Up to 14 crew support the yacht’s operation, reflecting the service requirements of a vessel of this volume and range. Although LA FAMILIA has only been used privately, Burgess says she is commercially compliant, giving a future owner the option to consider charter operation.
One of the yacht’s most unusual features is a custom-designed sauna on the main deck, described by Burgess as unique within the Amels series. Three folding balconies also extend the main-deck living spaces, including two from the salon and another from the owner’s suite.
The strengthened sundeck incorporates a touch-and-go helipad rated for aircraft up to 2,000kg, while the same level also carries a jacuzzi, bar and sheltered fitness area. A beach club at the stern provides a separate waterside space and access point for the yacht’s tender and toys.
LA FAMILIA is offered at €32 million with EU VAT paid, according to Burgess. For buyers who want an established Amels platform without waiting for a new-build slot, the combination of recent private use, class pedigree and transatlantic range gives the yacht a clearly defined position in the 50- to 60-metre brokerage segment.
The yacht is lying in the West Mediterranean and is available for inspection through Burgess. As with any acquisition at this level, survey findings, class records, machinery history and upcoming maintenance requirements will be central to the final transaction.
