Denison Yachting has confirmed the sale of the 57-metre 2008 CRN RICHAR, with seller representation by Pierre Badin and a last advertised asking price of €24.95m.
Denison Yachting announced on 22 October 2026 that the 57-metre CRN motor yacht RICHAR has been sold. Pierre Badin represented the seller, while Yannick Altevolmer of Drettmann Yachts introduced the buyer, according to the brokerage's transaction notice. Denison also acknowledged the involvement of Cambiaso Risso. The sale is a completed brokerage event, although the announcement does not identify the purchaser or disclose the actual transaction consideration.
The yacht was last advertised at €24.95 million and was in Turkey at the time, Denison says. That figure is a former asking price and must not be interpreted as the amount paid. For market observers, the difference between an asking level and a closing price matters particularly for high-value, individually specified yachts whose condition, tax status and negotiated inventories vary widely.
Delivered by Italian builder CRN in 2008, RICHAR has a steel hull, an aluminium superstructure and a gross tonnage of 944. That is substantial volume for a yacht of approximately 57 metres, with four decks devoted to a combination of private accommodation, guest circulation, entertainment and technical functions. Her exterior design is credited to Zuccon International Project, while the interiors were developed with CRN.
Published particulars provide a beam of approximately 10.2 metres and a draught of about 2.9 metres, dimensions that affect berth selection and access to shallower cruising grounds. Prospective comparisons should consider gross tonnage, cabin arrangement, access routes and machinery as well as length overall. Two yachts of nearly identical length can require very different crews, operating budgets and maintenance programmes.
RICHAR's interior is notable for an elaborate Baroque-inspired style rather than the restrained minimalism often seen in newer yacht projects. Denison describes engraved mahogany, marble, crystal and gold details, with custom furnishings influenced by the seventeenth century. These choices give the vessel a recognisable personality and make specialist preservation of finish surfaces part of long-term ownership planning.
A lift connects the four decks, supporting convenient movement between her principal living spaces. The panoramic lounge incorporates a wood-burning stove and can be adapted for private film viewing. Neither feature should be reduced to a decorative talking point: in practice, equipment condition, fire-safety arrangements, ventilation and the reliability of access systems are subjects for survey and crew operating procedures.
Denison lists capacity for as many as 14 guests in six cabins. These comprise a main-deck owner suite, two VIP cabins, two twin cabins with additional Pullman berths and an upper-deck double cabin. The arrangement offers several guest-group configurations, but a buyer should still verify the vessel's current certification and the permitted number of people for any intended commercial charter operation.
One defining amenity is a 6.5-metre swimming pool on the sundeck with an adjustable current for resistance swimming. A hammam, sauna, aromatherapy area, treatment and massage facilities, beauty rooms and a gym extend the onboard wellness programme. Together, these features create genuine operational complexity: water treatment, humidity management, surface finishes and specialist equipment need routine attention and realistic replacement reserves.
Twin Caterpillar engines provide propulsion, with Denison quoting a cruising speed around 12.5 knots, a maximum of 15 knots and a range of approximately 4,500 nautical miles. Naiad stabilisers are fitted to improve comfort both under way and at anchor. Such figures describe published capability, not a guaranteed passage distance under every loading, weather or sea-state condition.
Range assessments should be based on measured consumption, reserve policy, generator demand and the intended route rather than catalogue numbers alone. A buyer would also examine historical engine hours, planned overhaul cycles, fuel system service records, stabiliser maintenance and the integrity of supporting electrical equipment. At this scale, operational readiness is the product of the complete machinery installation and crew systems.
RICHAR is an example of a large superyacht whose value proposition rests on exceptional volume and a distinctive interior identity rather than on being the newest design in its class. Her six-cabin layout, wellness spaces and ocean-crossing range have appeal for private owners with extended cruising plans. The 2008 delivery year also makes survey quality, documented refits and original equipment support essential elements in assessing her long-term suitability.
The brokerage confirmation closes the current sales story but leaves the identities of the new owner and the negotiated price private. Any future announcement about a refit, new home port or charter programme should be treated separately and verified when it occurs. For now, Denison's primary announcement establishes the transaction and provides a useful published technical portrait of this 57-metre CRN.
