Returning owners bring a second Heesen to the water

Heesen has launched YN 20857 Project Setteesettanta, a 57-metre full-custom all-aluminium yacht commissioned by returning owners. The yacht encloses about 920 GT and is designed for 12 guests in six staterooms with accommodation for 13 crew.

The owners previously built with Heesen and returned with a detailed brief focused on family life at sea. A shallow draft of 2.3 metres, broad exterior areas and extensive owner privacy were central to the new design.

Private owner’s deck becomes a defining feature

The entire upper deck is reserved for the owners, with a forward master suite opening onto a private terrace of almost 200 square metres that can also serve as a touch-and-go helipad. A separate observation deck sits above, giving the yacht an unusual four-deck arrangement for her length.

Omega Architects developed the exterior, while Cristiano Gatto Design created the interior and also advised the owners during the build. Joinery was completed in-house by Heesen Interiors, including extensive bespoke stone and timber detailing.

Efficiency supports 18 knots and transatlantic range

Tank testing at the Wolfson Unit helped refine the aluminium hull so that twin MTU 16V2000M72 engines can deliver a top speed of 18 knots. Heesen quotes a transatlantic range of 3,900 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Project Setteesettanta will remain in Oss for commissioning before North Sea trials. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2026, adding another full-custom project to Heesen’s portfolio after a build that pushed several engineering and interior disciplines in-house.
