The 1973-built, extensively modernised 59m Amels JUST B has sold, with Radek Gendek introducing the buyer and Jim Evans acting for the seller.

The 59-metre Amels explorer yacht JUST B has been sold, with Radek Gendek of Luxury Charter Group introducing the buyer and Jim Evans of SuperYachtsMonaco representing the seller, according to reporting published on 13 October 2026. The sale closes a chapter in the marketing of a substantial Dutch-built yacht that first entered service in 1973.

JUST B carried a last publicly advertised asking price of €24.5 million, but the transaction amount has not been disclosed. The reported sale should therefore not be described as having closed at that number, and there is no confirmed information naming the new owner or establishing the yacht's next itinerary.

A 1973 Amels with an explorer profile

Originally delivered by Amels and previously known as SPICA and INTUITION II, the yacht reflects the characteristics of a long-range steel-built cruising platform. Her purposeful form and substantial beam have been retained through later conversions and refits that reshaped the vessel for contemporary private use.

The published particulars cite approximately 969GT of enclosed volume. Gross tonnage is a regulatory volume calculation rather than the yacht's physical weight, but it offers one indication of the accommodation and machinery space available for long periods at sea.

Vripack styling and multiple refit phases

The exterior design is credited to Vripack, with the original naval architecture developed by Amels. SuperYachtsMonaco lists major improvement periods in 1998, 2018, 2020 and 2024, showing how an established vessel can evolve without discarding its original construction pedigree.

Refit activity over many years can maintain a yacht's usefulness but also creates a complex documentation history. A buyer will normally look for a consolidated record of engineering changes, current class or flag requirements and any survey recommendations affecting machinery or hull condition.

Eight cabins for up to fifteen guests

The vessel provides guest accommodation for as many as fifteen people in eight cabins, according to the seller's specifications. The arrangement includes a private owner's area and a variety of double and twin guest rooms, making it possible to accommodate extended families and other large travelling groups.

A high guest count does not automatically establish permission for every commercial itinerary. Applicable flag rules, certification, crew complement and the yacht's mode of operation all influence what can be offered for charter or private voyages.

An unusually private owner's deck

The dedicated owner's deck incorporates private lounge areas and access to exterior terraces, separating personal space from the principal guest entertainment rooms. At this scale, such a division allows the owner to work, relax or retreat from social gatherings without giving up access to the wider yacht.

The design contributes to the feel of a floating private residence rather than a purely recreational weekend boat. Practical operation still depends on housekeeping arrangements, crew circulation and how individual spaces function in rougher weather or during extended passages.

Machinery modernisation and long-range ambitions

SuperYachtsMonaco describes upgraded diesel-electric propulsion, modernised navigation equipment and Quantum XT zero-speed stabilisers. The broker's figures include a 10-knot cruising speed, 13.5-knot maximum and a quoted range of up to 11,500 nautical miles in the specified operating conditions.

Range figures depend on load, weather, fuel reserves and assumptions about propulsion and hotel demand. An owner interested in remote itineraries would need to review actual passage logs and system performance, not simply treat a brochure figure as an unconditional capability.

Wellness and waterborne activities

The yacht's entertainment inventory includes a gym, ample exterior lounging and dining space, multiple tenders and equipment for diving, paddling and tow-based watersports. The large accommodation volume helps maintain several distinct activities simultaneously without concentrating all guests in the same social rooms.

These amenities add maintenance and crew demands alongside their appeal. The condition of tenders, davits, air-conditioning, watermakers and supporting electrical systems can be especially significant when a yacht is intended to remain away from major service centres for weeks.

An extensive technical and interior programme

The Wiseman Group contributed to later interior work, introducing updated natural materials and a more restrained palette while preserving the yacht's traditional character. Other improvements described by the seller include bridge and communications upgrades, guest-area finishes, galley equipment and an onboard food-waste treatment system.

Brochure descriptions of sustainability features should be examined against actual waste-management capacity, power demand and the vessel's overall operating profile. Modern equipment can reduce particular burdens, but its contribution must be measured in context rather than treated as a blanket claim about environmental performance.

The transaction and the people involved

The reported deal was concluded with Luxury Charter Group's Radek Gendek on the purchasing side and SuperYachtsMonaco's Jim Evans representing the seller. Those roles are important because buyer introduction and seller representation are different functions in a completed yacht transaction.

Without a public completion price or a named purchaser, speculation about discounts or future use would be unsupported. The material news is the transfer of this 59-metre Amels, following its last advertised €24.5 million asking price and several decades of refits and long-range cruising history.
