The 66th Genoa International Boat Show has opened with more than 1,000 boats, 215 new products and a larger Yacht & Superyacht presence.

The 66th Genoa International Boat Show has opened today with more than 1,000 boats, 215 product debuts and exhibitors representing 45 countries across five continents. Organiser Confindustria Nautica says the 2026 edition reflects a stronger presence from larger yachts, with the in-water layout expanded and the Yacht & Superyacht dock taking a greater share of the event.

Larger yachts take more space in the 2026 layout

Confindustria Nautica reports that the in-water display area has grown by 4 percent compared with 2025. The Yacht & Superyacht dock has expanded as part of that increase, while the average length of the three largest vessels in each segment is up 14.1 percent year on year.

That shift mirrors a wider industry pattern in which high-end yacht construction continues to outperform several smaller recreational-boat segments. Genoa therefore gives builders, brokers and suppliers a concentrated view of where the strongest current demand and product investment are moving.

More than 1,000 boats and 215 new products

The event brings together over 1,000 boats and 215 new products, giving the show one of the broadest cross-sections of the European marine market. The fleet ranges from smaller recreational craft through production yachts and superyachts to specialist equipment and technical systems.

For professional visitors, that breadth matters because a large yacht project depends on far more than the hull itself. Propulsion, electronics, coatings, deck equipment, tenders, marina services and specialist suppliers all use Genoa to meet builders and owners during the same six-day event.

Forty-five countries underline the international reach

Exhibitors from 45 countries are represented in Genoa this year, reinforcing the show’s role as an international business platform rather than a purely domestic Italian event. Confindustria Nautica has also increased the show’s institutional programme, linking industrial growth, innovation and public policy through FORUM26.

That international reach is especially important to the Italian superyacht sector, which depends heavily on exports. New figures released ahead of the show put yacht-building exports at a record €4.4 billion in 2025, with Italian yards continuing to dominate the global superyacht order book by unit count.

Genoa becomes the centre of the Mediterranean calendar

Running from 1 to 6 October, Genoa follows Cannes and Monaco in the autumn yacht-show calendar and gives the industry another major Mediterranean meeting point. Unlike Monaco’s tighter superyacht focus, Genoa combines large-yacht activity with a much broader marine-industry exhibition.

Superyacht Guide is treating the opening as a current event and market-development story rather than a single-yacht announcement. Individual launches, sales, supplier debuts and technical developments appearing during the six-day show will continue to require separate reporting as they are formally announced.
