The 72-metre Damen companion yacht Indratus, formerly Game Changer, has emerged from Oceanco after an extensive refit and 10-year survey programme.

Indratus emerges from Oceanco with a new identity

The 72-metre Damen companion yacht Indratus has emerged from Oceanco's Zwijndrecht facility following an extensive refit by the yard's Life Cycle Support team. Formerly known as Game Changer, the yacht now carries a new name and exterior colour scheme ahead of a planned redelivery later in 2026.

The programme combines the vessel's 10-year survey with a wider package of upgrades and modifications. Indratus is part of the Inkfish fleet alongside Leviathan and Draak, and the new grey-and-black finish with a turquoise accent gives the support yacht a visibly different identity while retaining her purposeful Damen profile.

Expedition capability remains central

Originally delivered in 2017, Indratus was the second yacht based on Damen Yachting's YS 6911 design and has an internal volume of 1,385 GT. Damen was responsible for the exterior design and naval architecture, while Struik & Hamerslag created the original interior.

The vessel's operating role is built around a large working deck for tenders, expedition equipment, submersibles and helicopter operations. She has about 250 square metres of open deck space, a 12-tonne crane and a certified helideck, with a substantial dive and storage area below deck supporting longer expeditions away from the mothership.

Latest work follows an earlier major conversion

Indratus had already undergone a major 10-month refit in 2020 after covering almost 50,000 nautical miles. That earlier programme extended the stern by about three metres, created a larger swim platform and heated beach club, and introduced changes to windows, cranes, stabilisers and dynamic positioning.

The current Oceanco programme builds on that operational history rather than changing the basic purpose of the yacht. Combining the 10-year survey with further upgrades should allow systems, structure and expedition equipment to be addressed in one yard period before Indratus returns to service with the Inkfish fleet.
