78.6m SIHAYA Concept Pairs Jay Aberdoni Exterior With Reddymade Interior

The 78.6m SIHAYA concept combines exterior work by Jay Aberdoni with interiors from New York architecture studio Reddymade, bringing a building-led design approach onboard.

A new 78.6-metre superyacht concept named SIHAYA has been presented with exterior design by Jay Aberdoni and interiors by Reddymade, the New York architecture studio founded by Suchi Reddy. The project was unveiled during the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show and remains a design concept awaiting a commissioning owner, shipyard and final technical platform.

Architecture enters the yacht from a different direction

Reddymade approached SIHAYA using methods more commonly associated with architecture than conventional yacht-interior practice. The studio describes its work through a neuroaesthetics-informed idea of form following feeling, considering how movement, changing light and proximity to open water affect the way occupants experience space.

That approach gives the project a different starting point from an interior developed mainly around decorative themes or furniture collections. Materials, circulation and visual rhythm are treated as tools for shaping a physical response while preserving the craftsmanship expected in a large-yacht environment.

Jay Aberdoni shapes the 78.6-metre exterior

The exterior is by yacht designer Jay Aberdoni, with the concept extending to 78.6 metres and accommodating 14 guests in seven cabins. Naval architecture, propulsion and a construction shipyard have not yet been fixed, leaving the project open for development with a future commissioning owner.

That status is important because dimensions and visual design can be explored more freely before structural, regulatory and machinery requirements are locked. A later engineering phase would need to translate the concept into weight, stability, tankage, propulsion and class decisions without losing the character established by the design team.

Interior planning responds to movement and light

The press material describes interiors developed around the constant motion of a yacht and the changing relationship between enclosed rooms and the sea outside. Reddymade retained elements of traditional nautical craftsmanship while introducing contemporary materials intended to shift familiar yacht spaces toward a more architectural character.

Large yachts create unusual interior-design conditions because views, daylight and horizon movement change continually as the vessel turns or moves through a seaway. Designing with those changes in mind can influence glazing, furniture orientation, circulation and the way quieter spaces are separated from large social areas.

The concept remains open for technical development

SIHAYA is not yet tied to a builder, propulsion package or completed naval-architecture programme, so the project should be understood as a design proposal rather than an ordered yacht. The published concept gives prospective owners a developed visual and experiential direction that can form the basis for later engineering and specification work.

That flexibility can be useful at an early stage because owner priorities can still influence range, performance, environmental systems and accommodation before contractual design is frozen. The next significant milestone would be the appointment of a commissioning owner and technical partners capable of turning the 78.6-metre proposal into a buildable platform.
