80m Bilgin Al Reem Wins Design et Al Award 2026

Al Reem takes the over-60-metre category

Bilgin Yachts’ 80-metre Al Reem has won the Motor Yacht Over 60 Metres category at the 2026 Design et Al International Yacht & Aviation Awards. The result gives the third and final yacht in the Bilgin 263 series another major international recognition.

Unique Yacht Design founder Emrecan Özgün represented the project at the Venice ceremony. Bilgin describes Al Reem as the most developed expression of the 263 platform, combining larger internal volume with a stronger exterior identity.

Volume and acoustic comfort define the latest 263

At around 1,758 GT, Al Reem delivers more internal space while retaining the 80-metre platform. Enlarged glazing and a revised superstructure are intended to make the yacht feel more open without weakening the athletic character of the exterior design.

The yacht was developed internally under the name Project Silence and places unusual emphasis on noise and vibration control. Specialist acoustic work was used to reduce mechanical intrusion across guest spaces and improve the sense of calm on board.

Award reinforces Bilgin’s flagship position

The recognition gives Bilgin another reference point for owners considering large custom or semi-custom projects above 60 metres. Al Reem’s award also closes the design story of the 263 trilogy with the final yacht receiving separate recognition from its predecessors.

For Bilgin, the result strengthens the yard’s international profile as it expands its order book into even larger projects. The builder is now working across several platforms above the size range that first established its reputation.
