Antonini Navi's 31.2-metre Evo31 explorer, reportedly named Hanaa, has entered the water at La Spezia, with Hydro Tec naval architecture, Hot Lab interiors and long-range displacement performance.

A new explorer enters the water at La Spezia

Antonini Navi's 31.2-metre Evo 31 project, now reported under the name Hanaa, has been launched at the Italian shipyard's La Spezia facilities ahead of further trials and outfitting. An account published on 28 October describes the yacht being transferred on self-propelled modular transporters and lowered into the water by crane. The development follows Antonini's delivery of the 34-metre Seamore 34 earlier in 2026 and marks another step in its move into bespoke steel-and-aluminium superyacht construction.

The yard's official Evo 31 specifications describe a displacement motor yacht designed for long-range cruising, with naval architecture and exterior design by Hydro Tec and interiors by Hot Lab. Her profile combines a dark hull with an understated superstructure and long windows intended to bring more natural light into guest spaces. These characteristics distinguish the build from a conventional fast-planing day yacht, with a programme centred on comfortable time at sea.

The reported launch should not be confused with delivery to the owner. Launching a completed hull and superstructure allows the yard to proceed with commissioning and testing, but equipment integration, sea trials and final acceptance remain separate milestones. The manufacturer’s official model page still displays the vessel as under construction, so any final delivery date should be treated as unconfirmed until Antonini provides a subsequent announcement.

Hydro Tec's displacement platform

Antonini lists a length overall of 31.2 metres, a maximum beam of 7.50 metres and a full-load draught beneath the keel of approximately 2.40 metres. The yacht is designed to remain below 300 gross tonnes, placing an emphasis on careful allocation of internal spaces within a relatively compact explorer profile. The beam is especially relevant to both interior planning and stability, although it does not on its own establish usable volume or seakeeping characteristics.

Two Caterpillar C18 engines, each rated at 533 kilowatts, provide conventional diesel propulsion through a twin-propeller arrangement. The official specification gives a maximum speed of 13 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. It also quotes a range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles at ten knots, but real operational endurance will depend on loading, weather, reserve policies and equipment consumption. These are design figures pending any independently reported trial results.

The displacement hull incorporates a bulbous bow, a choice associated with the effort to manage resistance and sea conditions within the yacht's intended speed range. For an owner expecting long passages, endurance can be more useful than a few additional knots of top speed. Practical voyage planning still requires an understanding of fuel reserves, service intervals and the effect of hotel loads on the wider operating picture.

Guest spaces and owner priorities

The published accommodation plan allows for ten guests plus two additional persons and a crew complement described as five plus one. Those figures indicate a yacht configured for an owner and invited companions with a substantial professional team relative to its length. Exact room allocations and regulations should be confirmed from the completed vessel, because bespoke developments often change details during construction and fit-out.

Hydro Tec's exterior language uses broad windows and clean surfaces to create a sense of proportion without relying on oversized ornament. The official project material suggests that interior designer Hot Lab has concentrated on open, welcoming spaces with attention to natural light and comfort during long periods aboard. This is a different brief from arranging a motor yacht chiefly for weekend entertaining at anchor.

An explorer of this size is often judged by its circulation, storage and crew operations as much as by its headline dimensions. Owners who intend to spend weeks afloat need dependable service access and a layout that allows professional work to continue without disrupting guests. Hanaa's eventual sea trials and interior photography will reveal how those priorities have been translated into the finished vessel.

The wider Antonini construction programme

Antonini Navi has been broadening its portfolio beyond a single custom yacht. Seamore 34 was delivered earlier in 2026, while work on the 40-metre Lounge 40 and the newly sold XPD95 explorer has formed part of the yard's announced programme. This mix of full-custom and platform-based construction is intended to give prospective owners different starting points while preserving room for individual design decisions.

The yard recently appointed Denison Yachting as its exclusive representative in the United States and Mexico, a development that gives the company a more direct route to potential North American clients. That partnership is commercially relevant as the yard demonstrates it can move projects from design and steelwork into successful launches. The evidence buyers will seek next is consistent quality at commissioning and during the first period of operation.

Hanaa provides a useful example of how a compact long-range explorer can be developed around a bespoke owner brief while staying within a defined displacement platform. The official technical information establishes the intended scale and performance, while the reported 28 October launch marks an important construction step. The next meaningful news will be confirmation of commissioning milestones, completed photography and delivery rather than assumptions about performance before those stages are finished.
