Corfu's Imerolia Marina Advances Toward Tender With 241 Berths
Imerolia Marina in northern Corfu moves toward its concession tender after environmental clearance, with plans for 232 regular yacht berths and nine superyacht berths.
British Marine plans a redesigned member exhibition Hub for Seawork 2027, offering a central networking space and supplier-showcase opportunities for the marine supply chain.
British Marine has announced a new format for its member Hub at Seawork 2027, seeking to improve exhibition visibility and access for specialist suppliers attending the commercial marine trade show. The 5 October 2026 notice describes a redesigned space intended to bring businesses together and encourage more traffic through a shared stand.
The change follows member feedback about how the Hub should work at the event. British Marine is inviting companies to express interest in exhibiting, but the announcement does not publish a final list of participating firms or claim that a particular new superyacht equipment product will be unveiled. It is a supplier-networking initiative rather than a vessel launch.
Marine suppliers often work across more than one market. Companies producing pumps, deck machinery, electrical systems, composite parts and onboard monitoring equipment may serve workboats, commercial craft, recreational vessels and large-yacht support fleets. A meeting point at a major trade exhibition gives buyers access to several related technical businesses within a manageable area.
For smaller manufacturers, building a large dedicated stand can be expensive, especially where the main purpose of attending is to meet installers, designers and distributor partners. A shared facility can make exhibition participation more practical. The value still depends on the quality of conversations, follow-up technical enquiries and actual customer fit, not the size of the stand alone.
British Marine says the new Hub will have a more visible position, an improved visitor layout and a collaborative environment for its members. It also plans a member-only exhibition rate intended to make participation more accessible. The association identifies networking events as a key part of the programme, including a reception on the Wednesday evening of the show.
Member companies are being encouraged to discuss the proposed space and packages with the organising team. No universal participation price has been set out in the public notice, so it would be misleading to advertise a particular discounted figure. Individual exhibitors will still need to confirm availability, the packages offered and their own marketing commitments.
Seawork is primarily a commercial marine and workboat event, not a superyacht show. That distinction matters: the conference and exhibition content should not be presented as an announcement of new large-yacht designs. Nevertheless, its technical supplier base can be relevant to yacht tenders, chase boats, service vessels, marinas and yards carrying out demanding refit work.
Many crewed yachts rely on the same types of pumps, safety systems, communications equipment and mechanical components used elsewhere in the maritime industry. Equipment that has demonstrated reliability in professional service may merit consideration in appropriate support-craft applications, subject to all relevant installation approvals.
British Marine positions the new Hub as a way to strengthen communication among its members and encourage connections with buyers across the marine industry. The announcement is an invitation to make plans for the 2027 event rather than confirmation that the redesigned Hub has been constructed or occupied.
The image used with this report comes from British Marine's own official Seawork Hub announcement. It is an exhibition-related photograph rather than a depiction of a yacht or unverified commercial delivery. The development adds another route through which marine equipment manufacturers and service companies can reach future partners.
