CO.ONE 140 expands Conrad’s sailing-yacht programme

Conrad Shipyard is progressing construction of the CO.ONE 140, a flagship flybridge sailing yacht that launches a new semi-custom sailing range for the Gdańsk builder. The aluminium hull is being assembled in structural blocks while the superstructure is being produced separately by a specialist subcontractor in southern Poland.

The yacht has been conceived as a long-range world cruiser with superyacht-level accommodation. Frank Neubelt of FNYD and German Yacht Couture developed the exterior styling, hull lines and interior concept, while Deltamarin is working with Conrad on naval architecture and engineering.

Hybrid aluminium and carbon structure targets weight efficiency

Conrad is combining a lightweight aluminium hull with a carbon-fibre superstructure to reduce weight while maintaining the structural requirements of a large cruising yacht. The project is being developed under RINA classification and is intended for long-distance operation rather than short coastal use.

Interior coordination is being completed with the owner while prefabrication work has begun in crew areas. That approach allows outfitting work to advance in parallel with major structural construction and reduces the amount of late-stage coordination required once the hull and superstructure are joined.

Energy regeneration forms part of the cruising concept

The propulsion system is being designed for low-emission and silent operating modes using high-capacity batteries and intelligent energy management. Conrad also plans to regenerate electrical energy while sailing, using the yacht’s movement under sail to reduce dependence on generators during longer passages.

The yard describes CO.ONE 140 as a strategic return to its sailing-yacht roots while retaining lessons from its recent motor-yacht expansion. The project is intended to show that Conrad can apply the same custom-build capability across both sailing and powered superyachts.
