Conrad Shipyard hosted international journalists in Gdańsk, including a production tour and a look at the C140 CO.ONE under construction.
Conrad Shipyard has hosted a group of international journalists at its Gdańsk production facilities as part of a trade mission organised by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The visit coincided with the Polboat Yachting Festival and included media from the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and Slovenia.
Visitors toured the shipyard and were shown the C140 CO.ONE sailing yacht currently under construction. The project, designed by Frank Neubelt, is one of the yard’s key current sailing programmes and gives Conrad a larger platform with which to demonstrate its design and build capability.
Conrad CEO Mikołaj Król hosted the delegation with project managers Paweł Polak and Marcin Czarniawski. The team used the visit to explain the yard’s production methods, current projects and approach to custom yacht construction.
Opening an active yard to external media gives a builder a different type of visibility from boat shows. Visitors can see fabrication, outfitting and project management directly rather than viewing only finished yachts and presentation material.
The trade mission also supports a broader effort to promote Poland’s marine industry internationally. Gdańsk has a long shipbuilding tradition, and Conrad has been using that industrial base to compete for increasingly sophisticated custom yacht projects.
The media tour therefore served both the individual shipyard and the wider Polish marine sector. For Conrad, it provided a chance to put current construction, including CO.ONE, in front of journalists covering the international superyacht market.
