Damen Yachting’s current fleet lists a 60-metre Xplorer in build for 2028, while the yard’s dated 15 July announcement describes the sale of an Xplorer 60 for a programme beyond ordinary cruising grounds. The current status remains construction, rather than a delivery or completed sea trial today.

An owner's programme beyond familiar waters

The July release describes an owner aiming to explore remote regions and create opportunities to facilitate scientific research. That is a statement of intended use, not evidence that a research voyage has already taken place.

For a yacht of this type, autonomy and operational planning are central to its value. Support for passengers, specialists and equipment needs to be considered alongside the customary interior brief.

A 2028 place in the fleet
