Damen Yachting has used the Autumn 2026 edition of its official Finest Moments publication to present three contrasting interior design directions for the Amels 60 platform. The feature brings together Winch Design's adaptable Metamorphosis Concept, Laura Sessa's more expressive treatment of colour and character, and a Luca Dini Design & Architecture vision built around organic forms, ethereal materials and quietly integrated technology.

The publication does not announce a new hull or a single owner's commission, but it gives a useful look at how Damen Yachting is developing the design language around one of its most established current Limited Editions platforms. By placing three approaches side by side on the same 60-metre technical basis, the yard is emphasising the degree to which interior character can change while the underlying yacht architecture remains proven.

Three approaches on one Amels 60 platform

Damen Yachting describes the Autumn edition as an exploration of three distinctive interior visions rather than a single prescribed style for the Amels 60. That framing is significant for a semi-custom programme because the commercial proposition depends on retaining the speed and certainty of a developed platform while giving owners enough latitude to create a yacht that does not feel standardised.

Winch Design's Metamorphosis Concept is presented as a study in contemporary calm with adaptable spaces and carefully judged moments of visual contrast. The emphasis is on flexibility rather than theatricality, allowing individual rooms and circulation areas to change function or mood without abandoning the restrained material language associated with the concept.

Laura Sessa's direction takes a different route by using colour and character more overtly. Damen Yachting describes the work as elegant and expressive, with a clear point of view that is intended to make the interior recognisably personal rather than simply neutral, an approach that demonstrates how the same exterior platform can support a much stronger decorative identity.

The third concept comes from Luca Dini Design & Architecture and is described as an exploration of future interior thinking. Organic forms, light or ethereal materials and discreetly integrated technology shape the proposal, suggesting an interior in which technical systems are intended to support the atmosphere of the spaces rather than dominate their appearance.

Design flexibility is central to Limited Editions

The Amels 60 is part of Damen Yachting's Limited Editions approach, which combines a developed engineering and naval-architecture package with owner-specific interior design. Espen Øino created the exterior design for the series, giving successive yachts a recognisable profile while interiors, guest spaces and decorative schemes can be developed with different design studios.

That separation between the technical platform and interior identity has already produced visibly different yachts within the series. Recent Amels 60 projects have involved interior work by studios including Harrison Eidsgaard, Winch Design and Laura Sessa, while the yard continues to use the platform as a base for customised owner briefs rather than presenting one fixed decorative package.

Damen Yachting's recent Project Vogue sale provides one current example of that strategy. The 60-metre yacht, scheduled for 2027 delivery, is being developed with Laura Sessa interiors, but the Autumn design feature broadens the discussion beyond that individual build by showing how very different creative teams can interpret the same overall platform.

The Winch Design contribution also sits within a long relationship between the British studio and the Dutch builder. Autumn edition looks toward Monaco

The same Finest Moments edition also looks ahead to the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, where Damen Yachting plans to display three Amels yachts from different generations of its portfolio. The 80-metre PANGEA is scheduled to make her world show debut alongside the recently delivered 60-metre QU2 and the Amels 242 SYNTHESIS.

That Monaco lineup gives the design feature a practical backdrop because visitors will be able to see how the Limited Editions philosophy translates into completed yachts at different scales. PANGEA represents the latest Amels 80 generation, QU2 is a current Amels 60 with custom Winch Design interiors, and SYNTHESIS provides a reference point from the established Amels 242 series.

For the Amels 60 specifically, the Autumn 2026 publication is less about announcing another hull than about showing the range of identities that can sit behind a familiar exterior. Damen Yachting is effectively presenting interior design as one of the principal ways owners can distinguish yachts built on a shared technical platform, with the three studios demonstrating how far that distinction can go without abandoning the benefits of a developed build programme.
