49.7m Delta TRITON Shifts From Alaska to South Pacific Charter for 2026/27

The 49.7-metre Delta Marine explorer TRITON is transitioning from its 2026 Alaska charter programme into South Pacific cruising for the 2026/27 winter season. IYC's current schedule shows the yacht in Alaska through 30 September before a South Pacific programme beginning 1 October, with weekly rates starting at $175,000 and rising to $195,000 depending on the period.

A seasonal move across the Pacific

IYC lists the United States and Alaska for TRITON through the end of September, followed by South Pacific availability extending into 2027. New Zealand is specifically identified for the Pacific programme, while the wider destination material also points to Fiji and French Polynesia as expedition-style cruising areas.

The published schedule is a charter-planning framework rather than a guarantee that every port or island will be available on any requested date. Positioning, weather, local permits and the yacht's confirmed itinerary still determine the final programme.

Delta designed TRITON for long-range work

Delta Marine describes TRITON as a full-displacement expedition yacht with ABS classification and a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 13 knots. The builder says twin Caterpillar 3508 engines, composite construction with carbon-fibre reinforcement and a zero-speed stabiliser system support the yacht's long-range mission.

Those specifications help explain why a seasonal shift from Alaska to the South Pacific is operationally credible for the platform. They should not be read as a statement that the yacht will complete the entire repositioning without logistical stops or that charter guests participate in the delivery passage.

Dive and fishing equipment support expedition use

The current charter inventory includes a dive centre, dive scooter, fishing equipment, kayaks, paddleboards and multiple tenders, including a dive tender and a separate boat for beach and river access. The equipment mix is geared toward active cruising rather than a programme centred only on beach clubs and marina calls.

Certified-diver requirements and local rules still apply to underwater activities, while fishing permissions vary significantly by jurisdiction. The charter operator notes that equipment and regional availability should be confirmed when a trip is arranged.

Rates remain stable at the start of winter

IYC publishes $175,000 per week for the closing Alaska window and a South Pacific range of $175,000 to $195,000 per week, excluding expenses. The yacht was built by Delta Marine in 2004 and underwent its recorded refit in 2021.

TRITON therefore enters the new season as an established explorer rather than a newly delivered yacht. The newsroom significance is the shift in active charter geography as the Northern Hemisphere summer closes and the Pacific programme begins.
