Bering Yachts has turned the steel hull of the first 33.1m Bering 110 in Antalya, moving the crossover project into its next construction phase.
Bering Yachts has completed the hull turnover of the first Bering 110 at its Antalya shipyard, moving the 33.1m project into the next phase of construction. The milestone puts the steel hull into its final working orientation ahead of aluminium-superstructure installation, systems work and interior outfitting.
The first hull was contracted through Bering Yachts' Europe branch on 8 October 2025 and reached keel laying on 13 November. Bering says the new model was developed with Red Yacht Design, which is responsible for the exterior styling and interior concept.
Hull turnover is a practical construction milestone for a full-displacement steel yacht because it allows the build to progress from basic hull fabrication toward the superstructure and technical installation stages. Bering says work will now continue with the aluminium superstructure before systems and interior outfitting advance inside the vessel.
The shipyard describes the Bering 110 as a crossover rather than simply a larger explorer, combining long-range capability with the volume and finish expected from a larger superyacht. Founder and CEO Alexei Mikhailov says the project is intended for owners planning extended voyages far from shore while retaining a comfortable onboard lifestyle.
Bering's current model specification gives the Bering 110 an overall length of 33.1m and a maximum beam of 8.2m, with accommodation for 10 guests and five crew. The yacht uses a full-displacement steel hull and is designed around extended autonomy rather than high-speed performance.
Twin MAN D2862LE427 engines rated at 900hp each are listed on the current model page, with a cruising speed of 10.5 knots and a maximum speed of 13 knots under half load. Bering's present published specification gives a range of more than 4,000 nautical miles at 10.5 knots.
The 26 August construction release describes the first Bering 110 as having a range of more than 5,000 nautical miles, while Bering's current model specification states 4,000-plus nautical miles at 10.5 knots. Those figures are therefore best treated as separately attributed published claims rather than combined into a single specification.
The turnover release also gives a fuel capacity of 48,000 litres, whereas the current model page lists 47,000 litres. The difference reinforces the value of distinguishing the configuration described in the construction update from the general specification presently displayed for the Bering 110 model.
Red Yacht Design has worked with Bering on both the exterior and interior direction of the 110, retaining practical deck arrangements and tender capacity while giving the yacht cleaner contemporary lines. The interior concept is intended to move away from the harder visual language often associated with expedition yachts, using warmer materials and a more residential atmosphere.
Red Yacht Design managing director Fatih Sürekli said during the turnover update that the team was seeing its concept for a versatile long-range yacht take physical shape. Bering has previously described the model as balancing genuine expedition capability with the comfort and refinement expected from a modern superyacht.
The first Bering 110 remains under construction at Bering's Antalya facility, with the superstructure, systems and interior stages now forming the next visible steps in the programme. No delivery date was stated in the 26 August turnover announcement, so the milestone is best read as a construction-progress update rather than a launch timetable.
The project adds another yacht above 24m to Bering's Superyacht Division and gives the yard a new 33m platform positioned between conventional explorer-yacht practicality and larger-yacht comfort. Further construction updates are expected as Hull No.1 progresses toward superstructure completion and outfitting.
