Floating Life Expands New-Build Work Across 42m, Maiora M|30 and 48m Baglietto Projects

Three active projects broaden the new-build portfolio

Floating Life is using Monaco Yacht Show week to highlight an active new-build programme that now spans several Italian projects. The company says current work includes a 42-metre superyacht, a Maiora M|30 and a 48-metre full-custom Baglietto yacht.

The projects sit alongside Floating Life’s established yacht-management, charter, brokerage and technical-services operations. The company’s new-build role is focused on representing the owner through design development, construction, quality control, compliance and technical decision-making rather than acting as the shipyard.

Owner representation sits at the centre of the model

For the 42-metre project and the Maiora M|30, Floating Life says it is acting in survey and owner-representation capacities. That places its technical team between the owner, designers, yard and suppliers, with responsibility for monitoring how the agreed specification is translated into the finished yacht.

The 48-metre Baglietto project extends that activity into a full-custom build. Floating Life says all three yachts are under construction in Italy, giving its new-build division a concentrated portfolio in one of the world’s largest superyacht construction markets.

Management experience feeds back into construction

Floating Life has operated since 2002 and manages yachts from around 30 metres upward. That operational background gives the new-build team direct exposure to maintenance, crew requirements, administration and lifecycle costs that may not be visible during the initial design phase.

The company’s stated approach is to bring those operational considerations into the project before delivery. Decisions about access, machinery, storage, technical documentation and maintenance planning can then be reviewed while changes are still easier to make at the yard.

Monaco becomes a client and project meeting point

Floating Life is attending Monaco as an independent owner-services company rather than presenting a single yacht launch. The show brings together shipyards, designers, brokers, equipment suppliers and owner representatives, making it a practical setting for decisions affecting projects already under construction.

The current portfolio also shows how yacht-management businesses are increasingly moving upstream into construction support. For owners, the attraction is continuity between the team overseeing a build and the people who may later support the yacht through operation, maintenance and future refit work.
