Genoa Boat Show 2026 Adds 35–50m Yacht Display and 215 New Models

A larger-yacht programme in Genoa

The 66th Genoa International Boat Show will run from 1 to 6 October 2026 with a new focus on large yachts. In the programme presented on 15 September, organisers outlined a dedicated section on quay H for five yachts measuring between 35 and 50 metres.

The superyacht display is planned with a lounge and a Leonardo AW helicopter exhibit, alongside Italian interior and design businesses. Those details distinguish this year’s announcement from earlier general boat-show previews and give yacht-industry visitors a specific reason to examine the new layout.

More than 1,000 boats and 215 novelties

Confindustria Nautica expects more than 1,000 boats at the show, with 215 new models and exhibitors representing 45 countries across five continents. The in-water exhibition layout is reported to be four per cent larger than the previous edition.

These figures describe the organiser’s announced 2026 programme, not audited attendance or completed sales results. Participation and the final number of exhibits may change before the show opens in October.

Why the date and yacht display changed

Genoa’s move into the 1–6 October period required planning with local institutions, businesses and the Porto Antico area, according to the industry association. Organisers say the changed timing has also helped make room for larger yachts at a show traditionally held in September.

The association describes differing market conditions across boat sizes, with the larger-yacht segment maintaining growth while smaller craft face softer demand. Those assessments belong to its presentation and should not be read as independent market forecasts for every shipyard.

Technical trade and entry-level boating

The show is also bringing back TechTrade Days for equipment, components and industry professionals. Another new element is the Blue Arena at the Palasport, planned to introduce boating, foil technology, start-ups, maritime careers and public agencies to a broader audience.

A programme of access measures for younger visitors is also planned, including an additional under-35 concession on 2 October. For the superyacht sector, however, the key new feature remains the physical display of five yachts in the 35–50-metre bracket.
