Organisers have released the provisional programme and initial speakers for the Sailing Super Yacht Forum, scheduled for 27 November 2026 in Genoa.

Large sailing yachts get a dedicated debate

The second Sailing Super Yacht Forum is due to return to Genoa on 27 November 2026, with its organiser releasing further programme and speaker information on 14 October. The business-to-business gathering is intended to bring together the yards, designers, captains, owners and specialist suppliers whose decisions shape large sailing-yacht projects and their operation after delivery.

The event will take place at the Magazzini del Cotone in Genoa's Porto Antico conference complex. Its working theme is the future of sailing superyachts, including design, technology, materials and industrial priorities. The schedule remains provisional, which is important for delegates planning travel around particular sessions or named speakers.

Materials and technology in the morning

According to the published timetable, registration and opening remarks will precede a 10:00 panel focused on how new technology, materials and genuine sustainability affect large sailing yachts. This subject matters because sailing vessels still rely on carefully engineered propulsion, power-generation, rigging, hydraulics and hotel systems when moving between anchorages or preparing for blue-water passages.

Engineering decisions also link directly to serviceability. A component offering an attractive theoretical saving may not be suitable if replacement parts, qualified technicians or operational instructions are difficult to obtain. The forum's stated agenda includes rigging and sails, hybrid propulsion, digital systems, certification, scheduled maintenance and refit competitiveness, giving the conversation a broader scope than exterior styling alone.

The captain and supplier perspective

A second panel is scheduled for 11:30 and will examine the priorities of owners, captains and suppliers. That combination could bring useful scrutiny to how commercial promises translate into actual onboard requirements. Crew training, safety, maintenance access and the division of responsibilities during construction are practical subjects that benefit from discussion among groups that normally encounter a yacht at different stages.

The organiser has named representatives associated with Southern Wind, Sangiorgio Marine, Solaris Yachts, Cantiere del Pardo, Harken, RINA, B&G and a number of sailing yachts, including serving captains. A provisional speaker list should not be mistaken for confirmation that every participant will appear in every session, and any final timetable should be verified with the event directly.

Networking before and after the talks

The programme identifies a welcome gathering for speakers and sponsors on the evening of 26 November, with the main sessions and networking lunch planned for the following day. Attendees should note that admission is paid and information about access or sponsorship must be obtained through the organiser. No standard ticket price is established in the published programme.

Although Genoa has a long connection with yacht construction and maintenance, the value of this particular gathering will depend on whether the discussion results in concrete comparisons, practical lessons and cooperation across the supply chain. For superyacht owners and managers, the programme offers a view of what large sailing-yacht professionals regard as the next important operational decisions.
