Matthew Hrachovec has become Head of Procurement at Hill Robinson, while Peter Van Toor moves into a new Fleet Management System product-owner role.
Hill Robinson has confirmed two internal appointments across procurement and fleet-management technology. Matthew Hrachovec takes over as Head of Procurement, while Peter Van Toor becomes Fleet Management System Product Owner.
The July announcement separates leadership of supplier purchasing from work on the upgraded management platform. It is an organisational development rather than a change to the identity of vessels in the managed fleet.
Hrachovec previously worked as the company’s Procurement Manager and succeeds Van Toor in the senior function. The company says the role will focus on commercial discipline, sourcing strategy and control of vessel expenditure.
Purchasing decisions on a large yacht must also account for delivery windows, crew schedules and available technical alternatives. Cost control is most effective when it supports operational readiness rather than interrupting it.
Van Toor joins the team implementing Hill Robinson’s expanded Fleet Management System in a newly created role. The appointment gives the technology work a leader with previous responsibility for procurement.
Maintenance, purchasing and reporting frequently depend on consistent vessel data. A management-system upgrade needs integration and training, not simply a new interface for shore personnel.
Hill Robinson links the appointments to growth in its fleet and associated procurement services. The new roles took effect immediately according to the company’s announcement.
The original company release and a photograph of both executives document the appointments. Specific service arrangements and any system access remain matters for individual yacht-management contracts.
